Wood Floor Repair Services

If you are looking to restore existing wooden floors to their natural beauty then Real Wood Flooring Ltd. can provide the expertise you require. We can renovate all types of wooden flooring and carry out necessary specialist repairs.

Peel back your carpet and you are likely to see a dirty wooden floor covered with paint stains and cuts across the boards where plumbers or electricians have cut them. It is obvious at first impression the wooden floor doesn't look appealing. But these wooden floors can be sanded and repaired. Damaged boards can be replaced with reclaim boards.

If you are lucky enough to find a Parquet Floor or an Oak floor underneath your carpet then you might consider contacting a specialist company such as Real Wood Flooring Ltd. Sanding wooden floors like these needs to be done correctly as this can affect the appearance of the floor and also the value of your property.

First we would carry out any necessary repairs on your wooden floor using matching timber. The wooden floor is then sanded to a fine finish to remove any scratches. Any cracks or holes are filled before the final sand off. Being a specialist company we only use the latest floor sanding machines of Kunzle&Tasin, with a bigger motor they achieve far better results than any hired sanding machine . When sanding wooden floors our sanding machines collect up to 95% of the dust so there is minimal impact on the rest of your home whilst your floor is being refurbished.

After sanding we apply three coats of a wooden floor seal to protect the wooden floor . This is done, again with a specialist tool to achieve a clean, perfect, finish. At this point we don't advise for any furniture to be placed upon the floor until 48 hrs after the last coat of wooden floor seal has been applied. Curing of the wooden floor seal is very important, as we only use water based seal. The drying time is dependant upon the humidity of the room. Using a water based seal is better as it doesn't give off noxious smells or discolour with time.

The results are amazing. Thanks to Real Wood Flooring-London">Real Wood Floors these sanded wooden floors now have warmth, life and character. With good maintenance the wooden floor should outlast any laminate or carpet.
